24 May Serita Solomon visiting Colvestone!

We are delighted to announce that Serita Solomon will be visiting Colvestone Primary School!

Serita is a 100m hurdles specialist who was born, and still trains, in London. From the formidable club Blackheath and Bromley, producing such talents as Great Britain’s fastest ever female 100m sprinter Dina Asher-Smith, Serita has been training for 12 years and is currently based in Catford.

It was clear from a young age that Serita was a budding athlete, as in 2005 at U17 level she won golds at the English Schools Championships and National Championships for 80H. Serita has competed for her university, Middlesex, and in 2011 she won a gold at the BUCS Indoor Championships over 60H. Making the British all-time list for 60m hurdles with a best of 7.93secs (ranking 4th), it is clear Serita is an experienced athlete with a huge amount of potential. This time subsequently won her a bronze at the European Indoor Championships in 2015.

She has competed internationally for Team GB countless times, in countries such as Poland, Russia, the USA and Finland, and currently holds a very fast PB of 12.87 for the 100H.
