PSHE

PSHE and Citizenship at Colvestone aims to help pupils to obtain the knowledge, skills and understanding they need, to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active, and responsible citizens.

Through PSHE at Colvestone, pupils are taught about making positive choices and these choices are regularly recognised and rewarded. We believe it is highly important to build respectful and positive relationships with those around us. This ethos is an important way in our school of developing a strong and supportive school community.

Children are able to learn through a combination of dedicated PSHE lessons, assemblies and enrichment opportunities. We use our school values to constantly reinforce our school behaviour system and also by planning engaging learning opportunities that link to issues in the world and in our local communities. At Colvestone, children learn to appreciate what it means to be a positive member of a diverse multicultural society. It is our priority to provide opportunities for all pupils to learn, achieve and experience what it means to be a valued member of our school community.
